Lindy Gelber, Founder
Founding Camp Sejong was a natural endeavor for Ms. Gelber, whose passion for justice has been life long. Ms. Gelber traces her inspiration to her grandmother, an immigrant subjected to countless hardships as a widowed mother of eight. Her motivation has been her daughter, whom Ms. Gelber adopted from Korea as an infant. Ms. Gelber determination to work with and for the Korean community, across genera - tions, racial divides and even oceans, is the result of her belief that Asian Americans, who have contributed so much to building this nation, must continue to develop the leadership skills needed to empower themselves and determine the future. She is now working full time as a real estate broker in New Jersey. |
