by Peter lappelli,
School Business Administrator/Board Secretary of the Closter Public Schools
The Sejong trip to Korea afforded me with an amazing opportunity to learn firsthand about South Korea's culture and school system. I gained a better understanding of our Korean community, which composes nearly 35% of our student population. This unique look into Korean life gave me insights to help better position the Closter Public Schools to engage and communicate with our Korean constituency. Working to bridge the cultural divide is an important goal of the administration, and this trip played a valuable role in helping to achieve that aim. I anticipate my Korean experiences will translate into more informed decisions.
I want to thank Sejong and BCKAPA and all the parents involved for this once in a lifetime educational experience.
I will continue to share my personal observations and experiences with the administration, faculty, and the Closter Board of Education.
